Summary:

One night. A sexy secret. And a New Year’s Eve they’ll never forget.

Pro baseball player Cooper Knox is tired of groupies and fans – so when a sassy brunette with curves for days doesn’t recognize him, he’s not about to let his secret slip. She wants a night to remember – and he’s going to show her a few moves she’ll never forget.

But secrets have a way of catching up with you – and when the ball drops at midnight, the New Year isn’t the only thing that will be starting with a bang.

Review:

So Cooper is quite the stud muffin. Atlanta Falcons PR director Shelby is on a mission to hook up with a hot guy now that her older brother – who is very protective of his younger sister ever since he’s pretty much raised her since their parents were killed in a car accident – has put a stop to her most recent beau’s affections. And it’s New Year’s Eve. When she sets eyes on Cooper – unbeknownst to her at the offset that it’s her brother’s BFF – she decides he’s going to be her catch for the evening. They proceed to spend some time on the baseball field for a quick frolic around the bases (so to speak) and then head back to her place – a good idea since if not she’ll end up at her brother’s house where he’s staying! – for a steamy start to the New Year. The next day is heads to the airport to fly back to New York where he plays for the New York Yankees, only to receive a call from his agent that he’s being traded to Atlanta.

The writing was fast-paced and well done. I just didn’t fall in love with the Shelby character. She grated on my nerves. Cooper was a bit too, uh, high on himself, so theoretically they should be perfect for one another, but again, for some reason I simply didn’t like Shelby and that ruined my mood about the story.

Recommend?

The majority of reviews on Amazon and GoodReads are positive, and I’d recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a hot steamy romance with great sex between two strong-willed characters. The heroine is sassy and independent and holds her own.
